Departing from Sunapee Harbor these narrated boat tours on Lake Sunapee are a great way to spend an afternoon. Relax in your deck chair and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lake Sunapee while your Captain narrates the history, landmarks and lore of this crystal clear mountain lake. Known as the waters of the flying goose, the MV Mt. Sunapee has been sailing these waters for decades. Featuring an open-air top deck and a covered lower deck so whatever the weather you can cruises this approximately 10-mile long lake in comfort. See the magnificent homes that have sprung up around the lake. Pass by our three lighthouses that were once used to help the steam boats navigate these waters and are still in operation today guiding the pleasure boats at night. In the distance you can see Mt. Kearsarge and the ski trails on Mt. Sunapee.

My family booked this for a family cruise. It ended up costing us only 22.00 a person. There was a cash bar. We brought our own food in. Captain gave a nice narrative of the lake, very friendly.

I went on the afternoon cruise with family and friends. Everyone enjoyed the cruise including the toddlers. They share interesting information about the many homes at the banks of the lake and about the area in general and the views are beautiful!

We enjoyed our dinner cruise very much. The food was delicious and the evening was beautiful. The only down side was a very loud party on board with us combined with very loud music.

The cruise is a great way to see the lake. The captains narration was very informative. Great activity if your traveling companions are mobility challenged. When facing the front of the boat set on the right side for the best views.

It is casual. Also, bring a sweater or light jacket. The sun will have set by the end of the cruise, this time of year and it can get cool.

They recommend closed shoes, as it is a rocking boat. Jeans, shorts, skirts, whatever is okay. Bring a jacket for after sunset.
