We went on a cruise on Sunday, it wasn't very packed, we enjoyed ourselves. The tour operator did a good job.

The ride and staff on boat were great. The office staff not so much. Booked the mt washington boat cruise and a few days before it was canceled (never given a reason why). They called and emailed asking if I want refund, to rebook, or switch to smaller boat. I emailed multiple times and called multiple times (sometimes there was an answering machine and sometimes only ringing). My emails and voicemails were never addressed but a day or 2 later I would get a new email and phone call telling me the same thing that my cruise was canceled and what did I want to do. Very frustrating!

I took my sister & B-I-L on the lunchtime Mount ride. I was quite impressed with how safe the trip felt. Personnel took our temperature before getting on the boat. We were walked to our reserved table. The policy was that you needed to wear a mask unless you were seated at your table. Everyone followed the rule, which made it easy to walk around a bit for some different views. Wait staff offered us food, but we had brought our own. We ordered fun drinks, and enjoyed our time chatting, gazing at the mountains, and feeling the breeze. It’s been 10 years since we last rode The Mount. So glad we went.

We chose the right day for weather, and the timing to dodge a rain shower was spot on. We got on the boat at 11:45 am and ordered a sandwich lunch with a Pepsi. There was plenty of ham. chips, applesauce, and 2 chocolate chip cookies. The ride began at 12:30 promptly and took us about 25 miles around the lake. The narration was intermittent and filled with Margaritaville satellite radio. It was a good balance. The temperature was great and the breeze light. The dark clouds took over and we turned North just in time to miss getting wet, although they set up tables inside on the dance floor for us outside diners, just in case! The rain drenched Gunstock Ski Area. We sat at on of the 5 tables on the top in the bow, with social distancing we could be mask free while seated, but the walking sightseers had to be masked, and the staff patrolled regularly and people cooperated. Our waitress was on top of things the whole 2.5 hours and was great. The boat was in great shape and well marked. They were having a dinner cruise later.

The GOOD. We went on the lunch cruise. We had good seats on bow of boat, tables were 6 feet apart. Captain announced that everyone is required to wear a mask. The BAD. Cruise was 2 1/2 Hours, but there was not much to see, unless you enjoy the mountains. Comparing this to boat rides in Thousand Islands and Adirondacks in NY . The UGLY. Our view was obstructed from people walking on the deck and standing against the railing, and not keeping 6 feet apart from each other. Then you see people walking with masks below there nose, and a family taking there masks , and putting it under their chin so they can talk and drink.
