In the East Coast, this is the only mysteriously fabulous place where you will find numerous sea ducks on a perfect winter day. Apart from ducks, Lighthouse itself and the information center are nice and friendly place to hang around. It’s a small park but...More

If you park your car at the lighthouse state park lot, you can do both the jetty (which is a MUST SEE/MUST WALK) and you can also get off the jetty and walk the beach for a bit. As someone else mentioned, you don't want to be carrying beach chairs or anything for this walk. The jetty starts out as a paved walk and then you can continue much further on the actual rock jetty. Wear good shoes as parts of it do get slippery and it is a pretty good walk. After you get out to the end, on the way back, you can get off of the jetty and walk for a ways on the beach. You will need to come back to the Jetty though to get back to your car. Totally worth your time and effort!
