Right next to Lighthouse in Cape May. The nature hikes are something we do with every visit. Last time we had a doe and fawn walk right in front of us and were three feet from a heron. Lots of swans and other bird wildlife.

Staff is great, the place is immaculate and the kids thoroughly enjoy the buildings in the back. We arrived to late for the tour but we have done it on a previous vacation.

I loved this nature center. I work at one in St. Louis, and I know this one is exceptional. Lots of marine exhibits, friendly staff, a good nature shop, and even a close-up view of an active osprey nest.

If you are staying in cape may with young children go visit the nature center. They have daily activities for free or very inexpensive if on a tight budget. Explore all they have to offer.

The Nature Center of Cape May provided us with two New Jersey Audubon Naturalists who led two different interpretative walks on the beach in front of the Grand Hotel for our conference attendees!!

And what we saw was many displays and live animals located upstairs. The building is lovely with large windows overlooking the water and many activities available for children. There are camps in the summer for multiple ages. The staff is very friendly.

There is free on street parking. There is also a small unpaved lot. Parking should be a non issue.
