This may be the best zoo around! First of all it's free (we gave a 10$ donation), but it also seems to be reasonably humane. I am generally not interested in zoos or other places that keep animals and marine life, but after reading other Trip Advisor reviews I decided to give it a chance and am glad we did.... More

We take the grandchildren every time they visit. You are never too old for a zoo visit. Parking is free and admission is by donation. Great experiences on all our visits. Doesn't get better than that.

It is unbelievable that this top rated zoo is free, but it is! There is no entrance fee, parking is by donation only and you also have the use of a beautiful park. You kids will love it and you will find it very easy to walk around. This is a hidden gem that you must go and visit when... More

This is the 2nd FREE zoo that we have visited (the other one is St. Louis' zoo), Free parking too. Open year round. At the entrance, they will give you the map and hand out a bucket for donation. Nice layout, a lot of shades to help from the sun. Stroller and wheel chair are available to rent for $9/day.... More

Really nice zoo. Just a little concerned about the tiger only because he was pacing back and forth. Nice area with giraffes and zebras. No entrance fee but the accept donations.

loved this place. parking is free and the zoo is by donation well worth the drive from wildwood crest, went for the whole day lots of different animals to see all of them looked well cared for. The place was clean but i think that's because they don't let you eat inside the zoo.

Superb, especially when you learn that it is a local county zoo. Great variety of animals and is well maintained.

I have been to zoos all over the world, and this zoo rates as one of the most enjoyable zoo experiences you could ever have. Beautiful park setting, great layout with shaded walks, great host of animals. Very kid and family-oriented, as well as a great date choice. Great happy staff and even the animals seem to really like it... More

Stopped at the Cape May zoo while on vacation. Tons of parking(free). Zoo was a good size (also free) . Lots of animals. All seem in great condition and most were out on display. Few displays closed for renovation but that's also good thing. Nice size snack bar. Giraffes were the hit of our trip. Overall great trip. Definitely a... More

I visited the Cape May Zoo on an afternoon trip from Wildwood. It is just off of Route 9 and well signed. I would recommend going up Route 9 as there was construction and exit changes on the Garden State Parkway on that stretch and it is a bit confusing for out of state drivers. There was no charge to...
