I brought my 3 year old grand niece there. From the pianos she loved out front, to the theater, to the AC MOORE art room, to face painting, fun make believe pizza parlor, silver bullet diner, to the trucks and rabbits in the outdoor butterfly garden area, we both were very happy and enjoyed the day!! We brought our own... More

I think just about every daycare and school class in the area decided to descend on the museum the morning we went, so it was totally packed, but it's a fun museum. There are a lot of really great activities for the kids. It's worth a stop if you need your kids to burn off some energy and have a... More

Took my three granddaughters, 6, 4, and 2 to the Discovery Museum and they had a ball. A nicely set up facility, there were things for all three ages. From watching the BIG live rabbits outside in the garden picnic area (we had breakfast there at 9AM before the museum opened at 9:30), to sitting in the cars and ambulance... More

In the way from Washington to New-Haven we decided to stop with our kids to release some energy. Both kids (3 years old and 1) really enjoyed the place. It was absolutely fun for them!!! We have some experience with kids museums and this is definitely one of the nicest places we took them. For sure we will come back....

Something you should do if you have young children. Even adults can have some fun with the kids. Make you to disinfect after though as there are many children there.

Took grandsons to the Discovery Museum, ages 9 and 10. They had a great time especially in the ambulance and grocery store. There are many hands on activities for kids to really get into. There is a stage and costumes available for doing a stage production. Some of the areas look like they could use some updating a day sprucing up. It... More
