This is a small collection, worthy of a visit if you like art, but not if you think you might be disappointed... You probably will. The first floor is mostly admin, rest room, and classroom space. They have a nice exhibit titled "52 ways to love a vet" (veteran) downstairs. 2nd floor currently hosts a basketry themed exhibit which was... More

I enjoyed the day here with my daughter. We looked at Art and the beautiful river with surrounding shops in the area. The Art display is small but the location in which it is nestled is worth the trip. We enjoyed lunch across the way which you can be seated on an outdoor patio overlooking a beautiful river with a... This was a nice small Museum right across the river from the Red Mill Museum. It showcases contemporary artwork from the local artists. We were greeted very warmly by the girl at the front desk, who explained what the place was all about. On the first floor there is a room called “Art Zone” where children of all ages can... More

I Love the fact that this historic grist mill once ground wheat for our forefathers and now serves the community as the Hunterdon Art Museum. When my wife and I recently visited the museum I was surprised how small the exhibit areas were and the limited number of art pieces shown. What we saw were quality works of art, but... More

This is a worthwhile small contemporary art museum in the charming town of Clinton. Admission is only $5 and the space is in a historic stone former mill. Don't miss the picturesque falls and river next door

Our daughter has taken many art classes here, as well as attended summer camps and birthday parties. They've all been fantastic....well run, interesting and creative. We love that they dedicate space each year to showing children's artwork that they done in school. This is definitely a local gem and I'm so glad that we have it!

We went for the special "through the lens" exhibit. While the special exhibit was well worth the trip the rest of the museum was surprisingly good. Another hidden gem in NJ.

The Hunterdon Art Museum hits on many levels. I enjoyed the art. It's three floors of well curated pieces set in a most unlikely ambience that works. The Old Stone Grist Mill with the Raritan River running next to it is both nostalgic and serene. Juxtaposed against this background is 21rst century art featured against 19th century brick walls. It's... More

A great small Museum and a perfect setting. Beautiful old stone building right on the pond at one end of Main St. How lucky the residents of Clinton are to have this piece of history in their town!
