This is especially haunting for those of us who lived in Jersey City in the era of the Twin Towers. This memorial stands in that place where our view of the towers would have been today if still there.

Wow, what an incredible memorial to those who sacrificed their lives on September 11th. Nothing fancy, but a good stop before Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Very well done

We went here but didn’t have as much time to spend here as I would have liked. I recommend a visit if you are in the area. Great skyline view and well-done memorial.

Great trip. We arrived at approximately 5:00 pm and walked around the memorial and its surrounding area. The two memorials are towering, and include the names of all of the victims on the inner portions of the wall. Located in front of the memorial is...More

The Empty Sky Memorial is a place one should visit. It has the names of the 749 residents of New Jersey who ost their lives in the tragedy. It overlooks the new World Trade Centre Building across the Hudson river.

This was a very educational experience for the entire family. My family was visiting from another state. We all went here for the day. Very easy to get tickets as long as you were paying with credit it debit card. Line was long for cash

This is a very nice memorial to 9/11. It is located in Liberty State Park. You have some good views of Manhattan also.

Interesting memorial with great views of NYC. Gives you the view of the exact place the towers used to stand.

My apology for the delay - I found the place quiet safe and maybe 15 people visiting as well - primarily couples and families - For us - the view was breath taking - Hope this helps

Yes, there is a free area to park for a limited time to park which is enough for the memorial. If you want to go to Ellis and/or Liberty Island you will need to park in the paid lot.

Very accessible parking lot is close to the memorial. We got confused and paid to park in the wrong lot. Drive past the pay lot to memorial parking. The views on a clear day are quite something.
