Liberty State Park is a beautiful place to visit, you can see the river hudson very close and also Manhattan. Liberty State Park is good for picnic and enjoy with friends and families.

A national treasure combining open park space with the historic train station, access to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Incredible views of the Statue, Manhattan and the Hudson river. Parks for children, sportsmen, joggers and anyone who needs an escape from city life and a healthy dose of fresh air.

Lovely location overlooking manhattan. Great views of the city and statue of liberty. Have to pay to park on ferry side but not on the other side closer to statue.

During the warmer months, we often walk along the boardwalk in Liberty State Park, passing Ellis Island and the back of the Statue of Liberty, talking to people fishing in the Allantic and enjoy the mile and a half walk.

After Sunday brunch we headed this way to walk a bit and enjoy the view of the Statue of Liberty. FYI you will see her from the back and pretty far away but it is what it is. Skyline was awesome though and the park is very well kept. Clean bathrooms. And there are police everywhere - even checking for... More
