Right by the beach, overlooking the beautiful white, fine sands of Margate, NJ and the Atlantic Ocean sits a giant grey elephant named "LUCY". After you enjoy a cocktail across the street on the palm treed deck of the Green House Bar, you walk across the small street and check out the quaint gift shoppe in Lucy Square. Purchase a... More

Took a Side trip one day while Staying in AC in December. Its like a Five minute drive off Season with no traffic. Lucy has a small Parking lot that was great for us but in the summer it must be jam packed. There is a small Gift shop at the Base of Lucy which is free and It cost... More

I've been coming to this area of jersey every summer and even during the winter for years now, and this was my first time visiting Lucy. My husband and I stayed in Atlantic City and drove down the road to see her. We couldn't go on the tour because we went on a day it was closed, but I got... More

Lucy the Margate elephant is amazing! Great for children to see! Amazing that she has withstood the weather for all these tears!

It was built to attract tourists. It has had many lives. It was saved by children's pennies. It is a big building that is an elephant. How cool is that.

This was our second trip to see Lucy - the oldest roadside attraction in America. She has an interesting history including being moved from another location to her present spot. Your $8 per adult ticket price helps to keep her preserved for future generations. We all enjoyed hearing about her history (me and two older teens). The best part was... More

Unless you a re a history or architecture buff it is not worth the drive but if you are close by you should stop and see this. Lucy started as a promotion for a real estate company who took people to the top to look at the island for lots for sale. She has had a number of uses and... More

I had never seen Lucy and a recent trip to Atlantic City with my great nieces was the perfect opportunity to visit. It was a great experience for both the children and adults. So glad she was restored. We found a brochure in the lobby of our hotel which provided a $1.00 off coupon for each
