I have seen concerts and musicals here, The venue is nice enough and the acoustics are good but I can say without reservation that sitting in the mezzanine is much less comfortable than downstairs. Main floor seating has a decent amount of leg room while upstairs is only for the small in stature.

I really enjoy going to the State Theatre. They bring in terrific, affordable shows and offer such a lovely historic atmosphere with modern amenities. I appreciate the beauty of the facility, the free water/cup dispensers, and also the fact that you can purchase food or drink to bring inside. Parking is nearby, along with nice restaurants.

I was here the other day to see "STOMP", one of the worst performances ever. But the theater is OK. I was here with a school and had to go through an alley to get in. That was nice. But the theater was clean and stuff, so this is OK.

We have been attending shows at the theater for over four yeas now and have seen fabulous comics, jazz, rock, Christmas shows, etc. just like New York but closer, safer, and more reasonable. The staff is excellent and the on line ordering system is first rate. Wonderful restaurants are within a short walk and fifer preshow menus.

We are often theater and event attendees both in NJ and New York. The management of the State Theater should be ashamed of themselves. Even after multiple complaints from the people behind then, attendees were allowed to tape large portions of the shows with cell phones and cameras. This is an insult to the performers and a nuisance to all... More

The state theatre has many concerts and shows throughout the year. My wife has a tradition of taking my kids to their christmas show. Now she brings my niece.

My wife and I have been to many concerts and looked forward to seeing Sarah McLachlan on 12-1-2015 at the State Theater which was fairly close to home. This was our first trip to the theater and we won't be returning anytime soon. For starters we were set back at least 30 minutes due to the lack of parking. According... More
