This was our first experience taking a train from Newark to NYC. I can’t say enough about it. It was easy to figure out where to go to buy tickets as well as where you needed to be to pick up the train. The station...More

Had to come here to take the train to Boston. I was here two years ago and during day time, in the waiting area, you usually had to sit with non-passengers (some nearby people decided to sleep here) but on this time, during day time,...More

I can appreciate the historical significance and beautiful architecture of this building, but it is overshadowed by the smell of urine and the questionable clientele that have inhabited it's always. We moved at a bit quicker of a paste to get from point A to...More

There is a lot going on. I don't think the addition of share ride companies helps when there are also relatives/friends picking up and not adhering to the rules. Once the taxis are considered it's a bit hectic.

I arrived and was able to exit without going through the station. So, I actually thought it was not a bad place. Then, I had to go through the station to go home. First of all, it is not a art deco wonder. There was...More

Nothing special to say about Newark Penn Station. The customer service skills of the people that work there is disappointing. Some of the workers act like you owe them something if you ask a question. The available information is lacking. The building is old. But...More

Upon reading reviews of this place and never having been there before I was worried. It's really not as bad as some reviews make it sound. I found it to be clean, open and well lit. The ticket terminals were not working properly all the...More

Newark Penn Station can get you to northern and southern NJ. You can also take a greyhound to Washington, VA, Maryland just to name a few of the places you need to get to. You can access the PATH system or NJ Transit. You can...More

I've taken Amtrak fairly often from DC to Newark to visit friends and usually it is fine. Amtrak was on time and the layout of the station and signage made it easy to find my way around. Unfortunately, the only place that sells alcohol in...More

They are both going to be expensive unless you are a guest of the Hilton Hotel right next to the parking lot. The best thing to do is Uber it.
