The light house still operates it light nightly although it now is open to the public as a museum for young and old to enjoy, gain a respect for the importance of the lighthouse in their day. This is a very good history lesson.

We discovered this gem after walking the seawall one morning. Beautiful garden at the rear of the lighthouse was a wonderful experience. We took a tour of the lighthouse and found the history quite interesting.

I couldn't see paying 6.00 to go up in it. It's a very small lighthouse only the size if a house . The flower beds were beautiful. There really wasn't much for a gift shop either.

We are planning a trip in mid-June. I noticed that the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse is only open Thursday-Sunday mornings. If you purchase a discounted combination pass to see both Hereford and Cape May Light, do you have to go to both on the same day?
