Camped in the area with three generations. Loved the area here. Boardwalk was nice - nicer then Wildwood which is loud and much rowdier. This is much more family related - low key. Clean!

Great clean beach. Lots of hermit crabs to see in the morning, fish swimming in the shallow water. It does get very full later in the day, get there early to claim a spot.

This beach is clean and family friendly. We visited after dinner, hoping to avoid overcrowding and it was well worth it. My kids have been to OC, MD many times, but this was their first time in OC, NJ. They felt like the water was...More

Absolutely the best place to have a wonderful, friendly, clean and FUN vacation! I wish we could have stayed longer. Wonderful hotel- clean, friendly staff, right on the boardwalk. We will be back next year for sure!

All beaches here in Ocean City are great. Lifeguards on duty from morning to 6pm. Beaches well maintained. Umbrellas & beach chairs for rent along with boogie boards.

Beach is small and congested. Swimming is restricted to certain areas. I know it's for everyone's safety but everyone's constantly bumping into one another. It costs 5$ for beach tags

I went with my boyfriend a few weeks ago, right off of the boardwalk. Parking was expensive but convenient. The beach was pretty crowded. The ocean was also crowded, as there were only 25 yards out of the whole area we could swim in. It's...More

People seemed very rude and inconsiderate. Too many large tents close to the ocean and really obstructed views. Also, the ball playing at the edge of the surf made for a very un-relaxing time.

The beach runs all along the boardwalk. Not sure which pier you are referring to but if you mean the music pier, yes.

Ocean City beach staff, I live an hour one way from Ocean city but drive this 3 times a week to enjoy the beach with family and friends. I come even on rainy days just for the shopping and restaurants. But this year has been bitter experience due to the over crowing of personal tents, easy ups and other over sized family forts. I want people to enjoy the beach as well but feel some sort of enforcement needs to be put in place to regulate this issue. Either band them all together, charge people per shelter a 20.00 seasonal fee or 11.00 daily fee for these oversized shelters when they pitch tents on the beach for the day, or make them place the apparatuses toward the back of the beach where the public isn't at harm when the winds pick up and make these a dangerous projectile. I have been hit twice now by flying umbrellas and a shelter that wasn't properly tied down when the wind instantly kicked up. These are dangerous and need to be addressed. If people had to pay this fee it could go back into ocean city and perhaps the people would be a little more responsible when setting them up. Smoking and drinking is going on out in the open now and these shelters are not the issue when it comes to this problem. The issue seems to be going on between the life guards, I'm on the beach usually by 8 am and don't leave till around 5pm and it is clear that the beach is not being patrolled when the open containers of alcohol and smoking are clear and present. I am very disappointed this year but know that you will look into this and make some sort of decision to better serve and protect your patrons.

This isn't a question but I applaud you for writing this. The beach hogs can be quite annoying, but I am thankful that I don't live next door to them. We go on the beach to enjoy the view of the ocean and relax, but the... More
