Just too many things working against that nice small museum. A very nice, but out of the way location near a bird sanctuary. A unique, but costly building to maintain. A costly building to heat and cool Many levels that would be expensive to make handicapped accessible. Very unfortunate, but at least it will continue on at Stockton. I wonder... More

This nice small museum has recently closed. A while back it announced a corroboration with Stockton College perhaps due to some financial difficulties and the scuttlebutt is that such difficulties led to it's shuttering. I've been told that the College has moved the exhibits to somewhere in Atlantic City but cannot confirm that. Please contact Stockton for additional information on... More

An enjoyable stop, if you are in the area. If some galleries are closed for change over it can be quite limited, but nice. Makes a nice combo visit with the wildlife sanctuary and Smithville Village. Museum store is good and pleasant coffee bar.

I was here in 2015 and always enjoy the new and permanent displays in a fantastic setting. Well worth your time and admission fee. Do go on the outside patio for a pretty view of the surroundings. Very close to Brigantine National Wildlife Refuge, too, so plan driving along the road at this Refuge and see how many birds you... More

Local history exhibit is fantastic. Pastels beautiful. We stop here every year and always enjoy the shows and the waterfront setting.

Poor weather day in NJ so went searching for things to do and found way here. There were a few small exhibits. It was $5 to enter. About right for value. There were a few artist collections that I enjoyed. The entire viewing for me was about 30-45 min. Best part of it was the drive by the nature preserve.... More

I go to the museum a couple times a year. Its a small space but they rotate some decent artists on a regular basis. They have Jazz, Yoga and children's activities. The location is wonderful. Its in the middle of a nature reserve. Its a great spot in the fall, winter and spring to see the seasons changing.

This art museum is part of Stockton College. This is a fine arts gallery that changes their exhibits on a regular basis. The setting is lovely but don't go in June because of the biting flies. There are lovely grounds to walk on when the weather is nice. You can also hold events there.

I hadn't been here since the renovation, but we came back in the early winter for a wine tasting. After, we got a chance to look around again. This is a hidden gem in the woods, off route 9 in Galloway Township, NJ. The artwork is always interesting, with work of local artists set against a natural backdrop. Unlike many... More

Although this Museum has been in existence for years, it has recently been bought by Stockton College. It has been expanded and even has lesson now. It is a wonderful place to spend a few hours. The exhibits are delightful and the shop has many fine things to purchase. Yes it is worth the trip.
