We were here with a bus trip on the coldest day of the winter. I loved it. Its like Peddlers Village but more rustic and not so expensive. Different types of shops, restaurants, and some good buys. My husband loved the chocolate store...came out of there with a big bag. We went over the bridge to a few more shops... More

Lots of stores with unique items. A lake in the middle with ducks for the little ones to watch. Right now they are playing Christmas carols which makes walking around even cozier! There are restaurants, kitchen shops, quick food shops, and more. Great place to spend a few hours.

Very nice village with plenty of small shops filled with treasures. Light strolling between the stores is a nice day trip adventure. There is also eateries for a bite when needed. We were down in December and waited past dark for the light show to music on the pond. We did not experience the talking Christmas tree as it was... More

We came to Smithville in December and enjoyed their holiday spirit! Smithville is a beautiful shopping village with over 30 shops, a few restaurants, a beautiful lake, bridge and water wheel to admire. During christmas time, the entire village is lit with christmas lights, they do a light show at the light at 5:30 PM and have a "talking christmas... More

Visiting from Florida, I found Smithville charming but chilly on thanksgiving weekend. The parking lot was pretty crowded, and some of the shops were as well. Such a variety- from dog gourmet treats to all kinds of teas and coffees, nautical themed gifts, restaurants, etc. Fun to stroll, browse, and buy. We sniffed lots of flavored coffees and bought a... As a local, I try to support local businesses, and I patronize several of the merchants and restaurants in Smithville throughout the year. As this is a great local venue, my family participates in Small Business Saturday every year. The overall experience can be rather festive even with the large number of shoppers at the Village. I am happy to... More
