Very relaxing and soothing atmosphere. Not crowded at all (although I visited mid-week at noon) and clean. Non-metered parking. Only drawback - food and drinks not allowed on beach although I did see a few beach goers with snack bags/water tucked away. Lots of surfers;...More

Washington Ave beach was tranquil and stunning the week before MMD WE. It is also a little less crowded then Belmar Beach in the summer but they do not allow food or beverages on the beach.

Even though it was only in the 60's we still got to sit on the beach which was immaculate. Loved watching the ocean while sitting in the sand.

Very large wonderful beach. Easy access from the boardwalk. Soft sand. In March there were a lot of dog walkers on the beach.

Walking the boardwalk was fantastic-friendly town. Waves produced a wonderful calmness.the town was unique & a treat to visit. Again, everyone we met was soon friendly. Made us wanting to move there!!!

My judgement averages the good impression of the beach and water against the fact that you are charged 10$ to enter (too much for a family!) and that the baywatch team is too oppressive..... They did not even allow us to walk on the rocks....

WE came to Spring Lake for a romantic weekend and stayed at a Bed and Breakfast near the beach. Spring Lake is a very pretty town with nice inns and wonderful restaurants. The downtown area is cute, nothing extravagant, but with some cute stores. The...More
