This little lake was a great camping spot when I stayed there quite a few years back. There were a few platforms for tents. The lake near a number of pretty little trails, one of which has wild roses. When I stayed there, there was a little beaver that would come out around dusk and swim down the lake past the campsite. It's off the beaten track down a side road. I haven't visited in a while. Thought it needed a mention as one of the nicest camp spots in new jersey.

High Point is a really cool park to visit. The views are really beautiful. The crowds were not there because we went on a Monday. It also snowed which was neat as back home it was 46 degrees. Driving to this part of the state is great because you get to feel like you are in the mountains because well you are!!!! Enjoy the ride.

On a sunny day to visit, walk on Appalachia Trail or Monument Trail is very enjoyable. Specially, on Late Fall season, it is very nice to have a short walk on state park. We just visited on this weekend 10/17, but leaf still are not red enough, surprise us is so many visitor on the part even every one tried to keep distance. Appalachia Trail has good mark on the trail so you will not easy to get lost. If you don't want to walk up to Monument, you can drive car directly up to parking lot. Beside the Monument, the sunset also is very good on beach side. The only complain was park closed on 6pm which sun is not set yet and police is force every one out.

Hiked thru the park in the AT. The trails are in good shape and fairly busy on weekends. The observation deck is nice and affords excellent viewing. The obelisk, Veteran’s Memorial is quite nice and also has excellent viewing.
