This course should almost not be open for play. Not 1 bunker on entire course is even remotely playable.Decided to give this course another chance based on some recent reviews-what a mistake.A once wonderful course appears to be on its last legs.

Played Sand Barrens on family vacation with great optimism but was sadly disappointed. What a decline in conditions over the past decade. Not one greenside or fairway bunker was playable. Nothing but dirt and rock. Extremely overpriced for conditions. Best view of this course was...More

Played all 3 nines at Sand Barrens and loved it. From cart guys to clubhouse and starter, everyone treated our group of 12 great!

A little pricey, it's a challenging but playable course (South & West nines played). Tricky greens, pretty fast, never really got the breaks down.

I played Sand Barrens twice in the past 2 weeks with my son and both times it was a bad experience. In both cases we left before completing 18 holes. In fact, the second time we played there it took 3 hours to complete 10...More
