Wildwood has probably the widest beaches in the entire state of New Jersey. Very well maintained. Never went during the "on" season, but heard that even with all this space, it can get crowded.....

For a Jersey shore town, beach and ocean at Wildwood Crest is a pleasure to visit -- clean sand and ocean water.

I've been up and down the jersey shore, visited many towns. Wildwood Crest beach is now where we land. It's large and clean, and free. The lifeguards in the summer keep it safe. There is stuff to rent(surfboards, sand chairs, umbrellas), ice cream and drink...More

I hate paying to sit on a beach. The beach is big (and growing) and you can always find a place to sit and relax.

We had a Blast, yes the end of September. Water was warm. It was great. But I forgot to put the sun screen on...ouch. It's been over 30 years since I was at Wildwood, and I hope it's not another 30 before I'm back.

We come almost every weekend to the crest, we get there around 11 and don't leave till about 5. The Grand kids absolutely love it.

Great, big beach with a gentle slope into the waves. Lots of space for everyone, even during the crowded summer months. Trash cans and port-a-potties at most exit ramps. Love how they added benches and a shower to wash off at the entrance/exit. Soft sand...More

Huge beach with lots of space and great view of the boardwalk. Not use to this type of beach where you can't see through the water but enjoyed it even though did not go swimming. Fun people watching!

There used to be, even showers, but now you have to change in one of their public restrooms without getting caught. Things have gone down hill in Wildwood!

This is a bit late - I hope you had a great trip! I think a few of the hotels offer complimentary, first come first served beach items, such as chairs. However, in the in-season, there are beach item rentals and they have... More
