Wonderful experience. We saw plenty of animals. The park is neat and very pleasant to drive in. Some animals came very close to our safari vehicle and we could see them up and close.

2nd visit and loved it again! Always good for a surprise or two and extra special because it is malaria free! For people who are a bit apprehensive about "the great outdoors" Addo is great introduction to "wildest" Africa.

This park has heavy vegetation that grows right up to the roadside in much of the park . This makes it a bit more difficult to see wildlife. The best bet is to drive to the water hole areas where you will have your best...More

You can easily drive yourself through the Addo park. Getting up early is worthwhile! And staying 2-3 nights as well. We stayed 1 night in the main camp (with a nice restaurant) and 2 nights in matyholweni camp (more south and more private, waking up...More

Its hard for me to compare Addo to any other safari park as this was our first but for us it will be a special memory we will treasure forever. Being so close to nature was incredible. Yes there are elephants, and plenty of them,...More

Addo was amazing, we saw lions, spotted hyena. Buffalo and of course lots of elephant. Such a good over night trip. The accommodation is basic but good. Excellent value for money.

We visited Addo Elephant park in May of 2016. The morning started off in the gift shop. They have a beautiful gift shop that offers many unique African curios. We were able to pick up some gifts for family back home, as well as some...More

We heard there are about 600 elephants in the park, and saw a lot of them congregating around the different water holes. Sightings are almost guaranteed if you drive around in your vehicle or join a safari tour. Our guide also advised against starting up...More

We did 3 other game drives before this one, a quad tour, a luxury guided and a self drive in a much smaller park. Addo was great for seeing elephants, and the fact it's a reasonable price to self drive...but it was too big a...More

We were picked up at 9am from our B&B in Port Elizabeth (arranged by Frank at saguidedtours.com) and taken with another couple to Addo Elephant National Park in a very comfortable Land Rover. Our superb Guide, Renier, was very knowledgable and friendly and we learned...More

The knysna Elephant park is really for kids where you can get up close to the elephants and feed them, Addo is huge and has a far greater range of animals but they are wild so you can't get near them like you can at Knysna.
