My Husband found this place after extensive searches. It was part of my birthday surprise, plus part of my post op rehabilitation routine. Loved the views. I was limited on which routes to use. The first one, no 4, which is marked on the map,...More

Amazing views, nice hike even for somebody that's not into hiking (not difficult one) but would like to experience what mountain hiking may bring into the soul - silence and unity with nature.

For those who want to do something different in Franschoek this is worth exploring. We did not see the proteas in full bloom as wrong season but I imagine it will be beautiful when they are.

Beautiful trails through wild fynbos country, rich in protea, also in baboons. Several paths for various ability levels. Probably the best place to get a bit of exercise when you are in Franschhoek. Small day-fee required, I think R40 per person.

Following a recommendation from Colin Atkins at Petit Paris, we did the Vista walk on the first evening that gave us great views over Franschhoek on our first night. This was a comparatively short and easy walk to the viewpoint at sunset. It was lovely...More
