I enjoyed seeing both the monument and the museum. Personal family artifacts such as family bibles are in the museum.

Although small this museum has lots of information to satisfy most enthusiasts. It is quiet and exhibits well presented. One is not pressurised into going around at a fast pace, in fact we were the only people there on the day we visited. There is also an annex which can be seen and a small cafe serving enormous portions of... More

Interesting museum and fascinationg that only about 250 Huguenots could have so much impact on the area

This very attractive building & surroundings houses the historical story of the Hugenot arrival in the area. It is relatively informative & fills up half an hour in the shade! There is a cafe too & ample parking.

Worth a visit if you have a spare hour or two. There is an interesting video to watch which gives an outline of the history of the area. Friendly cafe too!

This is simple and beautiful However the pathways are locked with a padlock so no entry allowed along the pretty pathways. What a shame!

It's a reallycool thing to think that the French came all the way down here but the layout was disappointing whereas you'd think it should have a prime position at the end of Main Street. Still nice if you are on the way to somewhere, but not worth the detour

Nice memorial museum. Peace and tranquility in the middle of a busy tourist town. The museum is a little old fashioned, but well maintained and interesting. The gardens and memorial itself are a delight for a quiet walk. they are full of birds and insects and beautiful flowers. the white roses are a particular delight in the summertime.

On arrival we were greeted by a gentleman with great knowledge who gave us a detailed briefing before we started our walk around.

Not somewhere that you would normally find myself, but this is definitely worth a visit. Not just the museum, but take a walk around the gardens to the memorial which is breathtaking. I really enjoyed our short time here, and it made me look into the past a little more so that I could understand it better. A joy after... More
