this has to be on your "must experience" list. the location wonderful, and the view is breathtaking, just amazingly stunning. but when you combine this with excellent wine tasting experience and the stunning quality of the the restaurant, it is no wonder most people end...More

Dieu Donne is worth a visit for the location/view alone, but try to avoid the weekends, which are very busy and often partly closed due to functions. The food is very good, nice personnel, but service tend to be slow. The manor wines are quite...More

I experienced a wonderful wine tasting at the Dieu Donné Vineyards yesterday. Amy and Adele are exceptionally friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about their wines. My friend and I tasted 5 different wines, including the exceptionally good Methode Cap Classic which is now one of my...More

We ate lunch here today, sitting outside. The view is a given and is fantastic. The food was amazing too. I had the chicken ceasar and my father had the salmon which he thought was amazing. I liked the beer and wine we had too,...More

We came here on the wine tram tour and had booked for lunch. We intended to have our wine tasting after but couldn't tear ourselves from the view or the food. Typically I expect "destination" restaurants to have average food but this place had amazing...More

We were able to squeeze in wine tasting after a visit to the Roca Restaurant on the estate. Wonderful views, lovely wine and welcoming and friendly staff. If we did it again we would allow two hours to soak in the ambience and views.

Brilliant cheese platter and cheap wine by the glass. Made a good end stop to the tram tour. Had excellent views of the valley and rounded off the day well. Cab Sav / Shiraz blend was the best red of the day.

Stopped there on the wine tram red line. Wine was ok, but tasting area felt outdated and rundown. Needs a revamp. Beautiful views though.

The winery felt a little commercialized. They no doubt have a beautiful view at their restaurant but everything was pretty lackluster. The wine tasting area was kind of blah with uncomfortable iron furniture. Though, the staff was very nice. We ate at the restraint afterwards....More

Franschoek is in itself a most beautiful town to visit. Dieu Donne restaurant is on the wine estate and sits up on a hill. The restaurant has a glass front which provides views of the Franschoek valley which are so beautiful, you don't pay attention...More

There is no charge to visit, you will be charged for wine tasting if you go for the tasting, and obviously for food if you eat, but on a quiet day and time, you can park the car and walk round to the garden patio and see the... More
