An island full of seals! What to ask for more? Small way to, little price, amazing and unique experience. Absolutely advised!

We booked a trip through Animal Ocean to Duiker Island. The experience was amazing and we loved paddling over the swirling kelp watching the seals darting all of the place. Great part of the world and well worth a visit if you can.

Such a beautiful landmark with cape fur seals all round! They really like showing off and are quite friendly.

We did a snorkelling trip with Animal Ocean Seal Snorkeling to Duiker Island. It was a fantastic experience to see all these seals. They were curious and mischievous. They came close before quickly swimming on and jumping in the waves.

Took the 40 minute boat trip out to the island. The most amazing thing was to watch the seal diving up and out of the water like dolphins

Great visit to this seal colony. Enjoyable ride out in choppy sea. The seals obliged by doing lots of jumping and diving around the boat. Well worth a visit.

The very short boat trip to the island costs 100 ZAR per person. A motor barge takes you out of the bay to a group of small rocks on which a surprisingly large number of seals lie unperturbed, as visitors are not allowed to leave the boats and can just look at the seals from a distance of about 30 yards or so. That is as it should be, of course, the animals are more important than the spectators. But seals happily and lazily reclining on their rock is all you see for less than a quarter of an hour, then the boat returns to port to pick up more tourists. Watch out in windy weather, the water can be fairly choppy!

To see Fur Seals in their natural habitat one should visit Duiker Island from Hout Bay. The boat ride takes about 45 minutes.

Hundreds of seals can be seen on the small island with many swimming in the adjacent ocean. This is a unique experience to see so many seals at one time. Some can be seen mating, some fighting or playing and others can be seen doing things that only marine biologists would be able to explain.

Great experience.

It's a quick 40 minute round trip from Hout Bay to see this male colony of cape fur seals. We went with Drumbeat Charters who provides hourly rides out in the morning for 100 Rand.

The seals were climbing on top of each other. A few jumped off the rocks into the ocean to swim. Definitely was a great experience!
