Loved stepping into a wonderland of fairies, elves, wizards, dragons and angels. You wonder through a beautiful garden and delight in the beautifully created spaces. Even a spot where you can drop a stone into the magical pond where wishes do come true. You then enter the fairy shop where one can buy some of the toadstools, fairy houses, fairies... More

Being a Fairy myself, I was in my element walking around this delightful garden. It must be even more wonderful in summer bloom. The pathways and tunnels of branches is magical and must have taken many years to grow. So much to look at and find hidden away in the undergrowth. Lovely gift shop where you can purchase many trinkets... More

So much time and passion has gone into making this experience something extraordinary. As adults we strolled around the meandering paths through little coves of elfs, fairies, toadstools and magical creatures. A time to sit and remember the delights of childhood dreams of playing with the woodland folk. Well worth the visit even if you have no children to entertain.

The children loved searching for the fairies in the garden. To see them enjoying the experience is sufficient for any parent.

If you like pretty things and believe in faeries, this is for you. Fantasy garden with many different areas to explore. With lots of hidden gems. Many, many hours of labour and love have been spent creating this. The shop is also very well stocked with trinkets and art works. Prices from a few rand to thousands for the most... More

If ever a place was built with love and attention to detail this is it. We were planning to stop over for an hour to give the kids a break and stayed for 2. The owner has crammed so much detail in you could easily spend 5 hours and still miss some of the beautiful garden features. A great idea... More

I went to the Fairy sanctuary with fairly low expectations but we loved it. Anyone with small children visiting Swellendam should visit

This sanctuary is a product of a creative and passionate mind! Fairies at every turn, as you walk round a couple of sizeable suburban gardens which have been lovingly transformed into a dingly dell. My girls simply loved this place and it made for a good couple of hours of imaginative play.
