We stayed 2 nights in a chalet in Lang Elsies rest camp . Beautiful view of the river. The best hike was on the Bushbuck Trail, it's well marked and the view from the top is stunning. Strangely we saw only a few Bontebok, but we saw a herd of Red Hartebeest grazing. The chalet had a comfortable bed and good pillows. The kitchen was equipped with the minimum. There are no restaurant facilities or any shops whatsoever, but it is a short drive to Swellendam. …

We were only here for a day visit, but Sanparks are always excellent. We were warmly greeted at the gate, and at the office. Covid Screening was minimal and polite. A lovely sunny day - saw beautiful flowers and animals. All facilities were clean and neat.

Was a lovely, scenic drive in a beautiful nature reserve. We managed to see the endemic bontebok, rhebok, and wild zebra. A stunning landscape. A must do.. definitely.

Great place if you like walking. saw a number of unworried animals - unworried as National Parks do not keep predators.

We went late afternoon on a very hot day in the hope of seeing wildlife. Beware the National Park charge - it was a rather expensive walk! We took the wrong track from reception but were rewarded with a quiet spot near the river with a bontebok grazing. Very peaceful.
