We did the waterfall hike which is an hour long hike to a waterfall. The hike is quite steep but manageable, even for people with a moderate fitness level. There are two more difficult hiking trails in the park that we did not attempt, so you could turn this in to a full day activity if you wish. A family... More

Many trails available. We opted for the shorter hikevtomthe waterfalls. Baboons sighted and the flora was all new to me. Views were awesome. Can be steep in places. Come prepared with correct shoes, water etc.

Quite steep in places but path well maintained and a beautiful walk. I did it in 40 minutes with my five year old daughter from the car park at the end of the dirt track.

Easily able to spend a whole morning walking in this beautiful reserve. Stunning views and beautiful scenery (especially the fynbos and flowers). There had been a fire there, but it didn't seem like too much had been spoilt. Lovely place for families to spend the day.

We chose to do the waterfall walk. Easy path to follow, however there are sections with steep steps. Due to the lack of rain, the waterfall was not very spectacular, more like a water spout. Most of the walk is under the shade of trees, so it is OK to attempt when the sun is out, We found the climb... More

We visited Marloth Nature Reserve during an overnight stop in Swellendam. There is a small entrance fee and the guard at the gate was very helpful explaining where to drive to to start the walk to the waterfall. It's not for the faint hearted but perfectly do-able if you like a bit of a challenge and the waterfall was worth... More

We are not experienced hikers but do like a challenge and going up to the falls was just perfect for us. A walk that Will take you between 30 - 60 minutes depending wether you are more experienced or not.

Unspoiled wilderness. Park authority at gate is unenthusiastic and he did not give much information exempt a poor map.
