Kruja Castle is well-worth visiting; it offers a beautiful view of the entire Kruje area, you can also visit the Skenderbeu Muesum that was unfortunately closed when we visited. Also, don't miss Restaurant Bardhi, excellent food, very cosy and affordable.

If you take the bus from the North bus station in Tirana, Kruja is about an hour and 10 minute journey which makes this place a perfect day trip! I was in Kruja for about 2 hours which you don't need much more time to...More

Our visit to Kruja castle was enjoyable. Only limited parts of the original castle still exist but one gets a good impression of what this oft-besieged citadel must have been like in its heyday. Today, the view is great and gives a good idea of...More

The trip was part of the social programs of the conference. The site is nice, quaint, well kept and instructive. Visiting the decades old Skanderbeg Museum you can learn a lot about country’s feudal times and about the local icon ruler of the 15th century....More

It is not as interesting as other attractions in Kruje, mostly because of not very precise and sensitive restoration of the fortress.

We were there on a Monday, so the museum was closed. However, we did walk around the grounds and it is lovely. The views are magnificent.

The fortress contained a very interesting museum on the history of Albania. The murals and statues are larger than life. Information boards have parts written in english.

The visit to Kruja castle offers a good insight into the history around Skanderberg, a national hero born in Kruja. There is not much to see anymore of the old castle, but it is still a nice walk up there. When there it is also...More

The drive up was past some bunkers and the climb was steep. No wonder this castle proved hard to take by enemies. We wandered the area and climbed up to the castle. The panoramic view is worth a little climb.

One of the best preserved albanian historical place. It is not near the Tirana, more than an hour bus ride, very narrow road on some spots but after you come you will say immediately, it’s worst, Nothing to add but to say pay a visit...More

There is a museum in the castle. The entrance fee was about € 3 per person, but I can't remember it exactly anymore. The children had to pay as well.
