The campground is flanked by massive majestic red cliffs. Campground roads were mostly covered by drifted sand. With the exception of the trains that run all night it is a peaceful campground and a great stop on the road.

A nice hike that’s within the Red Rock Park near Gallup, NM. The trailhead isn’t that easy to find however you can see the Church Rock formation from the parking lot, so just head that way and the trail will reveal itself.

we hiked red rock park and it was fabulous. we kinda got lost but was still worth it. We also were there for the unofficial balloon fiesta after the Albuquerque fiesta and it was great to chase balloons there.
