My wife is a potter so as we were touring the Four Corners area we visited several pottery studios. Beautiful local artists work. Helpful staff. Recommended several other studios to visit. Go by and visit them.

After a week of skiing and hiking, it was fun for the family to be able to relax and try our hand at pottery. Our instructor (a recent transplant from Austin, TX) was infinitely patient with us, especially considering we had never used a wheel before. First, you get to glaze beautiful pieces to take home afterwards, and while the... More

My wife and I took a simple introductory class and had a fantastic time! Our instructor, Kayla, was extremely patient throughout our class and encouraged us in all the different aspects of pottery that we tried. The raku glazing and firing was a unique and fascinating experience and learning the basics of how to "throw" clay on the wheel was... More

Although they didn't have that, we did purchase some unique mugs hand created by local artisans. A little more than tourist mugs but definately worth it. There was also some beautiful art that... We booked the raku firing and throwing class during Labor Day weekend and had an absolute blast. The class was small and we weren't rushed to glaze our pot selections (we each got to choose one to glaze and fire). While our pots were in the kiln we got to try our hands at the potter's wheels. They gave us... More
