A deserted but beautiful place to see some history with a eerily beautiful national cemetery, with rows of headstones. The museum was not open, tho was posted open hours.

Som weekends they have tours of the Commanders house. This fort is worth saving! The history with the Indians and Tuberculosis hospital is fascinating. The Buffalo soldiers to the rescue! Help save Fort Bayard and donate to the Preservation society. If they can fix it...More
