It is cool to see the actual grave where "Billy the Kid" is buried. I wished there was more security as I pulled a sticker off of the grave while I was there that someone stuck on the grave. It has also been stolen three...More

There isn't much at the Old Fort Sumner. The museum has been moved into town. This isn't a much see stop unless you want to see Billy the Kids grave.

Museum is closed but the grave of Billy the kid was a nice little stop if not a little underwhelming. Gravesite is littered with coins and old plastic floral arrangements and the surrounding cemetery is not too well cared for and empty.

The most infamous outlaw in history was Billy the Kid, to be able to stand there in the cemetery where Billy was buried is just an incredible feeling. To see his headstone and read about how it was stolen and recovered is quite fascinating. This...More

The museum is closed but the cemetery is interesting to walk through, especially if you like history of the old west.
