A well kept park with two major campsites. RV friendly dump sites. Electric and water as well as covered picnic tables. The staff are friendly and hard working.

I was very impressed by the beautiful views of the San Juan river and beautiful Navajo lake. I stay in campgrounds to save money and to enjoy the beautiful outdoors while traveling. The pine campground above the Navajo Dam marina has great views of the Lake. The campgrounds are nice but to close to each other unless you have a... More

Beautiful piece of ground on the coolest trout river ever. Cottonwoods are turning yellow and the fishing is over the top

This is one of New Mexico's best State Parks even though we only saw one park employee the entire time we were there, the park is nice clean and quite at least in the areas that we were in. Caught several species of fish in the lake and the San Juan River.

We drove out from Albuquerque, New Mexico to take a look at the lake and the Cottonwood Campground. We drove through the campground first. Although you have a few trees, the campground was crowded( and this was a slow day according to the woman who sold us our day pass). I noticed that it has hookups and a dump station... More

Stayed here Monday through Friday in a 37ft motorhome with toad. Camped at pine main.Water and electric at some sites. It's a bit inconvenient that not all sites have sewer hookups. Only a handful do. Overall park was clean. Restrooms and showers were clean. Some areas can be a little tight size wise so do research online. Seems like the... More

Camp host is nice, restrooms are clean. Wasn't expecting them to have showers. Most spots have some shade but book early. The locals do appear to take them for a couple of weeks at a time. The spots near the front are the sunniest. Yes, it's dusty... But it's also July. Short walk to River... It's peaceful with the sound... More

We picked the campground since it was close to Aztec ruins and other historical sites. many sites are shady but in July it is hot and very dusty between noon and 830 pm. also don't go here if there is possibility of rain since it is a flash flood area (read other reviews). however, if you like to fly fish... We met some friends up there and took the boat out on a Wednesday afternoon and the water was like glass! It was so peaceful. And the bathroom within the park are very clean, I was pretty impressed for being a trailer hook up campsite.

Made reservations at Cottonwood Campground thru Reserveamerica. NM State brochure said showers were available. Well, not at THIS campground! We've been on the road for 3 weeks, no shower in 6 days & we were really looking forward to a shower & down day before our last leg home. Campground is NOT near any water ( where's the lake?) and...
