Great place to visit

Great place, good events, highly recommended. Check schedule for events. A little out of the way, but worth it

I am a Chihuly aficionado and was surprised to learn that the theater in the small mountain town of Ruidoso offered such a beautiful opportunity to its residents and visitors. We stopped by and received a mini-tour because we were unable to get there at the scheduled hours, 10 AM Tues/Thurs. The docent was so kind and gracious. There were... More

We stopped in at the Spencer Theater on our way to Fort Stanton. I'm so glad we did. Martha was working at the front and gave us a brief tour. She was very friendly & knowledgeable! What a magnificent facility. We will definitely be back for a show.

We attended the Spencer Theater on Saturday Feb 11, 2017. The performance was The Carpenters Tribute featuring Michelle Whited. It was great. He voice was very much like Karen Carpenter and the band was great although the lead guitar tended to get drown out. The Spencer Theater is a very nice setting. Because it only seats ~ 500 there isn't... More

Just can not say enough about how lucky the Ruidoso/Alto area is to have such a great facility as the Spencer. Every one of the seats are good and the entertainment is always first class. Put this on you list of things to do.

The Nutcracker was a great assemblage of local dancers --excellent. The Spencer Theater is a special treat anytime -- but this will be a regular Christmas tradition for us now.

This was our third trip to a concert at The Spencer.. the weather gave us a bit of a scare but once we saw the theater glowing on the hill we were entranced! What a beautiful facility. Ray Benson and Asleep at the Wheel put on an amazing performance!! The staff was friendly and very helpful during the non-stop 90... More

We have been there several times. You have to go just to see the architecture of the building. Just to see the sunset . The performances have been great no matter what the genre. The acoustics are number one and it is and intimate setting. The food is optional, but excellent. And they make a good drink. We just saw... More

If one has a chance to go to a performance at this spectacular Theatre, GO!! We have been there 4 times as we travel to Ruidoso every Labor Day for some golf in the mountains. Houston is just too hot!! We saw a Beatles tribute band there and the acoustics are as good as any theatre in the U.S. The... More
