The statues are free and open to the public all the time which is good because it was rather difficult to get in to see the Hubbard museum which is adjacent to the statues. They are very impressive -- the detail is amazing! We spent a good 30 minutes exploring and reading about each type of horse depicted. Definitely need... More

This beautiful display is set up on a nice green nature area or small park. These statues are life sized & amazing! All types of horses are running, jumping, etc through the river area. These are a recommended no touch for the kids, but you can certainly walk right up to one to view the amazing details while you read... More

Saw this years ago, but had to return with a friend to show this to him. If you enjoy the beauty of horses and their 'free spirit', you will enjoy this display. I'm sure small children would love it also, due to the size of the horses sculptured. I was and will always be in awe of this art display.... More

This is just a quick walk around a little park area with statues of horses. I really like horses so this was kind of great for me. There is also some information about each breed that is represented. I found it really cool but again, it takes at most 10 minutes to go around.

We had driven by the sculpture many times on our way in and out of Ruidoso and finally decided to stop and have a look. The sculptures are impressive with striking detail and situated inside a nice pathway. Nice place to stop and walk around, and the kids enjoyed it as well.

Stopped along the way to see the Billy the kid museum and then walked around all the different breeds of horses. Each horse has a short history of the breed. Didn't go see the Hubbard Museum though.

It's free to walk around the display and see the horses, so it's a great thing for families on limited budgets. The price to get in the museum there is prohibitive for families but this makes up for up.
