My wife and I were on our honeymoon skiing in Taos but needed a break from the slopes. Luckily we were there mid-week and were able to schedule a trip only a few days in advance. We spent half a day with Stuart and loved every minute of it. He was full of energy from the start and extremely knowledgeable.... More

If you find this review useful, please click the 'helpful' button. WE BOOKED IN ADVANCE... We were staying in Taos a few days and decided to try our hand at snowshoeing, which we booked well before out trip to New Mexico. We'd never tried snowshoeing before, so we were a little apprehensive, but as it turned out, it was easy... More

We had high hopes for our winter getaway and Stuart and Leah made certain that it exceeded our expectations. My wife and I have always wanted to winter camp but neither of us had ever strapped on snowshoes. We needed some guidance to make sure we didn't get ourselves in over our heads. We sure lucked out. The weather was... More

This was such an amazing experience. Stuart is a wonderful positive leader, always making sure our group was safe and having fun as we climbed the mountain. He is also super knowledgable about the ecosystem and always had great little facts about the beautiful scenery around us as we made our ascent. He made everyone feel at ease, and and... More

My husband and I had a great time snowshoeing with Stuart. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. It was a very cold day when we went snowshoeing (Jan 2016). Half way through, my husband toes were freezing, and Stuart managed to keep us calm and get us back to the parking lot safely. And then we realized that our car... More

Recommended for anyone wanting a moderate physical challenge and a desire to learn the significance of nature and its splendor. Stuart went the extra mile to make the trip entertaining. Great commentary and education of nature and culinary skill with a camp fire. He handled all the details. We will do this again.

He is so knowledgeable about the environment and shared lots of interesting information about the nature around us. He has a tricky job to ensure that everyone of different fitness levels has an enjoyable tour, and he manages beautifully. I recommend... More

Booking and plans were so simple! Thoroughness and Safety first were a big plus when doing something for the first time. Meeting Stuart was great! He's straight forward, and kind! My husband and I are at different fitness levels. Stuart was skilled at making sure we were BOTH having a great experience! The equipment was sturdy and ready to go.... More

My husband and I visited Taos last weekend and we were looking for some other activity to do in the snow besides skiing since I am pregnant. We came across the Taos Snowshoe Adventures when searching on the internet in the car on the way to Taos from Albuquerque. We wanted to do a snowshoe adventure to Williams Lake, however,... More

I can't say enough great things about this trip. Stuart was a consummate professional--informative, well-informed, likable, and really great with my young kids. My young daughters remarked that he showed compassion and care without being condescending. He knew a great deal about the area, made me feel safe even though we were entering a wilderness area during a snowstorm, and... More
