The Taos Plaza is the historic center of the town of Taos. Once a Spanish fortified walled plaza, it is now a beautiful collection of wonderful businesses.

Beautiful town, beautiful weather. Great shopping venue, especially if you are interested in jewelry and pottery and art work. Everything convenient and within walking distance. Much more reasonable price-wise than Santa Fe. Do your shopping here

The plaza is nice, but after the real thing (the Pueblo), I found the stores to be a bit cheesy. Nice people watching, though.

I personally was disappointed. Just lots of chinese junk stuff in the shops. Not enough art and real quality products

Fun to stroll around & browse the shops. Most things seemed real "tourist-y" and overpriced.

We stopped here on our trip through New Mexico. It is a typical plaza, smaller than Santa Fe but you get the idea. There were the usual stores selling stuff from China, we stopped in one for post cards. Don't miss the Made in New...More

Very overpriced shopping and souvenir shops, if you do go to Tao plaza you must visit Maison Fauirie Antiquites the owner is super nice and is very knowledgable about antiques.
