I enjoyed this Plaza much better than the hyped up Santa Fe Plaza. The local shop owners made me feel welcomed and took the time to visit instead of just waiting for me to buy something. Much to offer and the prices were reasonable. Not...More

The Plaza had a few empty shops and the grounds were not kept up too well. Made me a little sad.

Having previously visited Santa Fe, and having heard -- we thought -- of Taos' charm, we found the Taos Plaza disappointing. The central square itself is nothing special to look at; there are squares in many towns and cities that are prettier. The shops surrounding...More

Almost all old towns have a centrally located historic district with a plaza. Taos Plaza is the focal point of shops, galleries, restaruants, and lodging for this tri-cultural city with a long history of arts, culture, and commerce. From Taos Plaza, visitors can enjoy numerous...More

I was really looking forward to seeing Taos, but we found walking around the plaza to be more irritating than anything. It was loud, lots of traffic, stinky exhaust. The shops were really touristy and cheesy or too expensive. There wasn't that much in the...More
