The best small town area Historical Museum I have visited, and I have been to a lot them. This is based on the amount of different subjects they have, how it is displayed throughout 3 or more buildings, yard exhibits and most of all the very friendly and helpful staff.

Found a great many things that we did not expect to see. Truly worth the time. View it and the Prehistoric Museum just down the street.

Picture a cross between a traditional museum and your grandmother's attic. It is a traditional museum -- no buzzing buttons, no flashing lights or animatronic gimmicks - no video games --- just REAL artifacts -- and LOTS of them ------ rooms and rooms of them. Whether you are interested in the days of the early settlers - the roaring 20's... More

This was a great stop on a very hot day. The heat made enjoying the outside areas a little more challenging, but displays of labelled local plants, and a variety of transportation items are also housed outside. For my daughter, who is an American in the US for the first time, seeing the Conestoga wagons was really special. There is... More

I stopped by the museum and was immediately greeted in such a friendly way. The museum is amazing and has cowboy, railroad, farming, ranxhing and plenty more of the local history. I loved it all.

There was just so much to see they need too at least double the display space but as ever money is the issue. Well worth a visit.
