normally a well attended lake and park in the summer time by not only local inhabitants but the seasonal hasidic summer bungalow visitors as well. but its early october when the crowds are gone and the trees display mother natures palette of color reflected in the lake. i'm a sucker for fall color and pristene scenery. this has both. it is right near the original Woodstock 3 days of peace and music site which is now Bethel Woods.

Came here on a crisp, fall Sunday afternoon with my friends. What a wonderful view. I especially loved the vibrant colors of the changing leaves. A couple of my friends rolled down the hill and we took a few pictures. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Have been going to this park since my daughter was little (20 years). There is a roped off swimming area, picnic tables, grassy area to play Frisbee or ball, paddleboats, and access for canoeing or kayaking. There is a small fee if using during the season between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Lower rate available for residents. It is worth the nominal fee as it has been used to keep this park clean over the years. There are bathroom facilities located on grounds also.

We went to Lake Superior on a warm day with the kids. The lake was refreshing enough but the majority of the "beach" is actually green grass. It gets really crowded too. But they offer clean bathrooms and reasonably priced snacks which makes life easy.
