The price is right for this gem of a oo. The people were friendly and the zoo provided a great day for family.

This zoo placed an emphasis on being part of many Species Survival Plans and clearly has some of the most endangered species on the planet - including the very rare red wolf. Our family learned so much from the keeper talks on how smaller zoos like this play a big role by working together with other zoos to help keep rare species alive. It is worth a visit!

When you come from Chicago and you have Lincoln Park and Brookfield Zoos you may get a little Jaded. Nope, not here.

This zoo is quaint and very user friendly. If you are visiting this a great stop for couples or family.

Worth the visit..

Overall great event to fill a few hours before or after a something to do while in Binghamton. The animals were blah or maybe because of the time of the year still in post hibernation mode but as more people attend and weather gest nice I am sure it will make for a vibrant few hour excursion.....

I love this Zoo and the staff that takes care of it. It’s a full day adventure and lots of walking so bring good shoes! The enclosures are great and they have done such a good job of creating environments. Some of the original zoo is still there - but not much. So if you remember the old monkey house and stinky cages, you are in for a nice surprise. The carousel is still there too for a nice ending to the day.

The wolf environment is great and if you are fortunate you will see them. The penguin house is a little claustrophobic but you can see them up close. I also love the climbing walls and the other things that give these animals a piece of home.

Definitely plan to go and enjoy the day!

Had a small farm petting zoo at the start of the zoo. Admissions are paid in the small gift shop upon entering zoo. Don't recommend a March visit, although not pack it was indeed to cold. The zoo is a walkable. We didn't make it through all the way,so to cold weather. But hope to return to get the full experience of the zoo itself in future.

They have good staff who work hard at taking care of the animals and it shows. The habitats are a bit small especially for the birds. In the summer the have butterfly exibits that are really cool.

When my children were little, we lived in a tiny home on the South Side of Binghamton! We frequented the zoo because it was so important to our family to help out these sweet animals and educate our kids about how important their care and preservation was! We walked and talked to each and every one of them! In the evening, we could hear the lions roar, if the wind was blowing just right! After my oldest daughter graduated from college, she had the opportunity to volunteer at this zoo and later to actually work there as an intern, pursuant to her studies in Animal Studies. Because of all of our interactions at this zoo, she is now just a few months away from receiving her PH.D. In Psychology, in Primatology! So thankful for the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park in Binghamton, N.Y.!
