Growing up a few blocks away from Bronx Community College formally N.Y.U. Campus mid 60's on Harrison ave. attending P.S.91 that campus was always a joy as a youngster walking with my friends especially towards the rear of the campus where the hall of fame is located many very nice memories, worth the trip and I guess the tour!

This is a good introduction to famous Americans that would be an excellent experience for new immigrants or children up to teen age.

We had a guided tour of the Hall of Fame as well as the old NYU library which was also designed by Stanford White and the new library designed by Robert Stern. Our guide was most knowledgeable about the 100 or so people selected for this honor. You discover important people in fields that have made significant contributions to our... More

This place is located in the Bronx Community College campus and its amazing walking through it. Inspirational knowing all those face statues and their names plus what they had done. It makes you feel like you can take on the world.

The Hall of Fame for Great Americans (1892-1912) is a neo-Classical arcade, not a "hall," situated within Bronx Community College, CUNY (City University of New York). Here are the busts of dozens of famous Americans, in various fields, including statesmen, artists, authors, soldiers, scientists and others. Commendably, the roster includes, in addition to the predictable busts of Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses... More

Perched atop the Bronx this is an interesting visit for history buffs. Quiet and secluded for a lovers stroll, cool in the summer, but wrap up warm in the winter months! Visit the rest of the buildings open to the public on the campus while you're there.

Located on the campus of Bronx Community Collge (the former home of NYU - New York University, before it moved to Manhattan in the 1970's), this entire campus - but especially the Hall Of Fame, is a secret, completely unknown GEM of history and architecture, located in the Bronx. I only stumbled onto it, by coincidence, years ago - it... More

My recent visit brought back many memories of walking here from home when I was a kid. I went back to the old ball field that my Dad took me to. Still there, nothing's changed. We drove throughout the park and stopped in a few familiar places. Wonderful scenery. You don't have to go far to enjoy a great Fall... More

The walk of fame is inside of the Bronx community college. It is a fascinating site with a rich history. While there make sure to tour the campus as there is lots of history on the campus including parts of the Manhattan project. In the evening the views of Manhattan and the George Washington bridge are breath taking.
