I've been going to this section of the South Bronx for decades. There are so many choices in great Italian dining that to pick just one or two would do a disservice to the others. (go Mario's!) Adjacent to Mario's Restaurant is a market with...More

Not having been to this area before I can't compare its current business and cultural environment to that time when it earned the reputation as Little Italy. There are definitely some Italian bakeries and restaurants in the area but there seems to be an equally...More

Arthur Avenue seems to have taken over NYC's role of a classic Italian-themed commercial district, with an extensive collection of restaurants & shops. A great place to browse and pick up a few items.

Great place to get fresh made pasta and authentic Italian food. There are several restaurants which are very good and reasonably priced. Parking is not that great though.

On weekends in the fall, they close the street to traffic and it’s one huge fleamarket. A bit pricy to eat but lots of fun

You will have fun at this place. They treat you like family and people are very warm. The food is fantastic and there is always something going on there. Great place to spend an afternoon and stroll around aimlessly .

Had a really great time. Some of the best pizza I've had since living in NY. Had pizza with truffles which was a first. Very nice community and friendly residents. The B12 or 22 bus stop is within walking distance. Can't wait till next year.
