Drove to Canandaigua with visiting family to see the Gardens and the Mansion. I had been there many years before but this was a pleasant surprise. Many of the areas still need some upkeep but I'm sure money is very tight. All in all it...More

Interesting garden and home. A genuine reflection of the times. Wealthy NewYorkers from the 1800's travel to Europe and recreate bits of it in the garden with Japan thrown in. Nice trees and gardens, could have trees labeled better. Enjoyable for sure.

See how the richer half lived during the turn of the 20th century. Beautiful gardens, lovely house. Make sure you do the guided tour. It adds a lot to the experience. There's a small cafe on the grounds.
