Wanted to show our friends from out of town the pier and how crowded Canandaigua Lake is compared to where we live. (Seneca Lake) The city has done a nice job with the pier and surrounding area. Worth a few minutes to see.

Don't miss the Pier....it's historical and the boat houses are amazing! Check out the hot dog vendor too! Water bowls and treats for dogs is also there for you!

This area has the small fishing boathouses lining each small pier off the city pier. Its historic in some ways because so many of these places in other parts of the country have been torn down or remodeled. Makes for beautiful pictures!

This is a unique city pier in that boathouses line the pier. A little unusual - some need repair, but we haven’t seen this before and felt it was worth a 20 minute stop.

We came to Canandaigua for a few day get away after reading about it in a travel magazine, but I think this may have been one of those ‘paid advertisements’. We went to the pier and walked around, and got to see the kitschy/rundown boathouses,...More

Yes, you can fish off the pier. You are likely to get small pan fish. I suggest using worms. Of course, NYS fishing license rules apply.
