I have probably Hiked Slide Mountain more than a dozen times since the mid-1960s when I first went there with my dad. I was six years old at the time, and returned several times into my 30s. A few years ago, after a quarter-century hiatus...More

I summited Slide from the west (the easy route) in mid-November 2017. The trail is well marked ad easy to follow. The slop is never very steep, and I did much of the day at a run. Beautiful views on this fairly accessible hike.

Definitely not for the novice cyclist. The route begins at the big Indian turn and goes for 20 miles. This is the highest elevation in the area at about 2800+ feet. The top of the mountain is the hardest, is relentless and while it's only...More

Tallest mountain in the Catskills. But a real hike, so don't try it unless you're in shape. Take the "easy" route up from Route 47. Make it a loop by hooking into the Curtis Ormsbee trail either on the way up or down. Great views...More

Many of our family members and friends stayed here for our wedding weekend at Full Moon resort. They were pleased with the accommodations and the location is super close to Full Moon.

I'm glad I did this hike since it is the tallest in Catskills. I was disappointed with two long very rocky sections that are straight up. I understand that hiking is going up and trails will have rocks but one section looked like a rock...More

Catskills are made for hiking and offer very many great trails everywhere. This one will lead you to the highest peak in the Catskills, with several outstanding viewpoints. It is a loop trail 6.3 mile. Recommended.

I did not find the hike that great. I hoping better view as it is the tallest peak in the Catskills. I would say the trail was moderately difficult. I would not recommend the hike to children as the last leg seems to go on...More
