About
Our Land of Oz and Ends shop in Chittenango has moved their inventory to Herkimer NY Exit 30 on the thruway going east of Chittenango. Easy to find: go thru the tollbooth, cross the road and you are at Gems Along the Mohawk where there is a huge Oz booth. There is a good place to eat there or take a trip on the canal. It is about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Chittenango. Also the ALL THINGS OZ MUSEUM on main street in Chittenango has some amazing Oz items to check out.

This is a specialty shop that carries items related to the wizard of oz movie, and it is a must visit if that's your thing

we collect so it has been a MUST STOP for the past 25 years. we always manage to find something even though they have down sized. just wish Chittenango would promote more store fronts connected to Baum fans. however the new museum in town is very informative. always love the visit.

The name got us....

We were disappointed in this as it was a small room with some overpriced Oz merchandise in the room. It shares with a drug store and no one was in there or came out to say hello or anything.

OZ-mazing
Jul. 2014 • Friends
I did not know what to expect, but I was happy and surprised with the museum dedicated the life of L. Frank Baum, author of The Wizard of Oz. My mind was blown, to see all the authentic The Wizard of Oz memorabilia and references to the The Wiz and Oz-inspired movies and books. My thanks to Mike and Mike for personally curating museum displays. And don't forget to pick up a souvenir, the gift shop is AWESOME. And do not forget to walk the yellow brick road, which is really a sidewalk. I had a AWESOME visit, you will too. Can't wait to visit next June for the convention. Watch for Toto to pop out of a clock. Admittion fee: $5.00.

Chittenango's Claim to Fame

L. Frank Baum, author of The Wizard of Oz, was born in Chittenango, and the Land of Oz and Ends goes out of their way to trumpet that event. George and Karen are wonderful people and will bend over backwards to get you what you want, even if they don't have it on hand.

I stop on occasion just to see what OZ related items are new. I always find some little nick nack that I want. Not everything is on the OZ theme. Worth a visit.

Land of Oz and Ends
Although there are subtle touches of The Wizard of Oz throughout the birthplace of its author L. Frank Baum, it is the Land of Oz and Ends store on Route 5 as you enter of Village of Chittenango from the north that caps the visitor's experience. Our six-year-old grandson rated our stop at this store as "the best" moment of a magic-filled weekend. His mom bought him a tiny Tin Man, part of a wealth of memorabilia the owners bought from a collector the year they got started. We bought him the paperback version of the famous book with the original title The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and the original illustrations. On a snowy November day, the store bustled with visitors. The owners had a lovely way about them, almost as if they had been part the original motion picture. Their clear delight in what they were doing left us all with a smile on our faces.
