While on one of the tours, we stopped here to check the lighthouse out. We had lunch with us, so we were able to sit at one of the variety of picnic tables and take in the scenery as we had an hour to spend...More

Our trip to this lighthouse was fun and informative. We enjoyed the boat tour around the islands on the way to the lighthouse. We climbed the steps to the top of the lighthouse, even though I have an intense fear of heights! Going up was...More

Absolutely amazing how much history (and buildings) can fit on a small island with room to just enjoy the view. Very knowledgeable staff that made the 1 hour stop just fly by.

Great lighthouse and a nice view from the top. Lighthouse keepers cottage is very nice. Excellent signage for self guided tour. Great photo ops!

You need to take a boat to get here, but it's a nice ride. There is not much of a "park" but it's a beautiful island. Climb to the top of the lighthouse for a breathtaking view of the river! Tour the restored house for...More

Visit the light house for fun and history. The island is perfect for picnics and photos. Staff had treasure hunt set up for children. Private boat or your boat stops there. Nice job by NYS Parks!

The nice thing about Rock Island is that it's not over crowded. There's a nice gathering & staff are very knowledgeable. We all love to climb the lighthouse for the view which is outstanding. A yearly favorite stop for us.

Located on an island you can only visit this lighthouse park by boat (private boat or Clayton Island Tour Boats). Well maintained docks, grounds, picnic tables, museum & lighthouse. The view from the top of the 30 foot lighthouse is well worth the climb. A...More
