So there is tons of inventory in this store. You can definitely find a gift for even a hard to shop for person. However, the first person I ask for help seemed a bit snobbish and almost looked down at me when I said I was looking for a gift for a woman who does not like frilly and pretty, but practical. But I took that as a "one of". But when it happened again in a different department? Then I started to wonder if this is the norm.
I did find a gift so that's a plus. And jewelry for myself. But not sure if I would stop again because of the attitude of their staff.

Definitely a place for the women. My wife could spend the day in there, just looking. It's a lot larger than it looks. It's probably the largest, most unique gift shop I've ever seen. They have some beautiful items and almost any type of Christmas Ornament you can imagine. We get each of our daughters a special ornament every year based on their activities from that year.Wit's end would hand paint the date on each. They cherish them and have kept them into adulthood to put them on their Christmas trees each year. They also have a huge collection of Department 56. And that's just scratching the surface!

While the store is a beautifully appointed destination, I would not recommend to anyone. The visit started with a salesclerk greeting us and immediately being followed throughout the store by multiple employees. Every time we moved to another aisle or another room, there was an employee watching us and pretending to clean and straighten the merchandise. One move to a different area got by the employee eyeing us and a different employee rushed into the room and asked her co-worker if she was watching "them". When we went to the check-out counter to get some of their truffles, the candy associate took over ten minutes boxing the candy of the person I was with and then left me at the candy counter to ring out the person with me. I waited another ten minutes for her to return only to have her assist the couple behind me in line that had just gotten to the candy counter. I went up to another cashier and told her I was leaving my purchases and explained why. Her response was "Oh, okay." and went on to another project. My purchase was only going to add up to about $200 so I guess I was not spending enough money and they watched me the entire hour I was shopping like I was a commonly known criminal. SHAME on you Wit's End, shame on you.

It’s a shame because this place is so fun to shop at. My husband bought me an expensive pandora watch for Christmas. Unfortunately the watch was too big and one of the brackets needed to be removed. They are all over you when you are ready to buy something. God help you AFTER you have already paid and need their service. The woman who waited on us was rude and extremely impatient. I called the owner to let her know about her employee and SHE NEVER RETURNED MY PHONE CALL! I don’t care if they are the only place around that has what I need. I have never gone back and will never recommend family or friends buy anything from here. Customer service is everything if you want repeat business. Word of mouth referrals are something EVERY small business owners needs. Wake up and do the simplest of things....RETURN YOUR CUSTOMERS PHONE CALLS.

There's no question you'll find anything and everything here in gifts for someone else and yourself. Beautiful jewelry, unique home decor, even the clothing selection is special. But the prices are over-the-top for 75 percent of the items, and their staff is not particularly friendly. I've had to return items twice here, and I had the receipt both times; they were RUDE both times and acted as if there was something wrong with my wanting to return an item. You know what? I'll go find something unique elsewhere where the staff isn't as cranky. At these prices, I'd expect a little more service and a little less attitude.

This store may have a wide variety of items but it certainly not worth the unfriendly sales staff and poor customer service you will receive shopping here.

Have browsed there but find it pricey and not worth it. Some of the items look good but again I question what they charge.

Last year, I received a pair of leggings from Wit's End as a Christmas gift. I noticed that after wearing them only two times, they had a hole in them. My mother and I brought them back to the store along with the receipt. The worker in the clothing section was extremely rude and told me that I can't expect too much when I buy cheap leggings. They were $25!! In the past I've purchased $8 leggings at Target and they've lasted me 3+ years. She reluctantly let me exchange them, after trying to up sell me $80 leggings. That left a really bad taste in my mouth and I haven't been back since, until this weekend. I received a gift card for Christmas and went into the store knowing exactly which necklace I wanted to purchase. I picked it out at the counter and the saleswoman said she would clean it up for me and have it behind the register for when I was ready to checkout. Ten minutes later, the saleswoman finds me in the store and tells me she broke the chain while cleaning it, but I could purchase the longer chained version for $10 more. Now it would've been great customer service if they decided to waive the additional $10 because they were the ones to break the first one. I told her I preferred the shorter chain, so she proceeds to tell me they have ordered two more and I can call them over the next few weeks to see if/when they received them. Not once did they offer to take my information and call me once the necklace came in. I left there disgusted. I did go to Maggie's Gift Shop, found the same necklace and purchased it from them. Wit's End lost out on a sale because their customer service is appalling. Once my gift card balance is $0 I never intend to go back and will advise everyone I know to shop the smaller, friendlier gift shops like Maggie's and The Open Door.

Many lovely things to see. In the hour I was there I was asked four times if I needed help. We know that is Not what they were inquiring about. It is this type of badgering that stops people from returning to this store.
