This was a nice small museum that took a few hours but showcased a lot of American works from paintings to sculptures to pottery. It also was vey informative and had a nice hands on kids area.

The small gem of a museum (part of the Smithsonian) has a good blend of contemporary, craft ,historical art and artifacts detailing the history of the area and Native Americans specifically.

At first I was confused; I knew the Norman Rockwell museum is in Massachusetts. This is NOT Normal Rockwell! It is, however, American art - Remington's, Native American. Really well done, and worth the visit.

Hi there, There is a parking lot free for our visitors, located directly behind the museum. We do a bus lane, and if it is open you are free to use it! Corning Musem of Glass also has ample parking, and there is a free... More

Yes! We have multiple paintings by Albert Bierstadt on view, including the enormous "Mount Whitney"
